Jerry has been very into collecting rocks lately, and little did I know—
some of them are, unbelievably, rare crystals and special minerals.
I think I’ve been doing the same my whole life.
Jerry’s collection is usually studied and identified with his “amazing cool rocks book,” and then his amazing cool rocks go into one of his millions of IKEA Glis boxes. After a few days, they either get lost somewhere in his hideout or are discreetly disposed of by his mom.
As for mine:
they were arbitrary pebbles gathered along the trails. Some were lost along the way, while others I held onto tightly until they morphed into precious gems—arranged and hemmed onto a pale, airy dancing dress hidden in a corner of my closet.
Over time the dress grew dauntingly heavy. It became impossible to put on without turning my dry, flaking limbs red and blue.
Thus,
I have never learned to dance.
